Davina Combe is a London jewellery designer who creates timeless pieces to be worn every day. Her designs have elegance and charm, it has been 10 years since we started to sell her products in Herb House Spa’s shop Curated, so we thought it was only right to catch up with Davina and find out how it all started…

Tell us a bit about Davina Combe Jewellery and how it came about?

My love for jewellery started at a very young age with a treasure chest of beads, pearls and gemstones which I made up into designs and this hobby then developed into a small business whilst at school. I was then lucky enough to travel to Asia and was greatly inspired by the beautiful and colourful gemstone world and following this I launched my first collection, origins, in 2011. It is so lovely that this is still one of our bestselling collections – it focuses on colour and textures which continuously inspire me.

Tell us a bit about your products and how they are made?

Signature designs include hoops with detachable gemstone Pendants, colourful stacking rings and delicate bracelets and gemstones necklaces. I am so proud to have worked so closely with our wonderful workshop and gemstone suppliers for the past 10 years - all our gemstones are carefully selected, and our designs are carefully made, and hand-finished.

What makes your products unique?

I love to design jewellery that is timeless, and a key focus has always been to design versatile pieces that can be worn every day, as well as those special occasions. It has always been important to me that our designs are suitable for all ages whether someone may be looking for a special christening present or an anniversary gift for their wife, I want the jewellery to be enjoyed by all for years to come. Equally, although each collection we launch is unique, I always make sure that all designs are united by themes of colour and texture meaning that designs from all collections can be worn and enjoyed with each other.

You have recently celebrated your tenth-year anniversary, tell us a few of your highlights over the last 10 years

Yes, the past 10 years have passed in a whirlwind! There are so many highlights to choose from and I have been fortunate enough to meet many wonderful people and loyal customers over the years. It is always so exciting to see our designs in our lovely stockists including Curated at The Herb House, which first stocked our collections back in 2012!

Highlights will always be seeing customers enjoying wearing their designs after many years and when jewellery is chosen by brides to be worn on their wedding day or to give as a present for a special birthday I still to this day get butterflies. Our designs have also been worn by a number of celebrities and those never fail to be pinch me moments! Over the years we have proudly supported many charities that have touched us, and this has always meant so much to me.

Have you got any exciting upcoming plans/projects?

In celebration of our 10^th year, we launched a number of exciting capsule collections including our Chrysoprase Cosma Collection, which is proudly now stocked at Curated in the Herb House Spa. The collection celebrates our signature gemstone, Chrysoprase, with the striking beautiful green colour it never fails to make a stunning statement. We will also be launching a number of new designs later this year and are excited to now be able to travel and get back to designing!
